Stray By Daisy Jane AudioBook Review/ Spoiler

I wanted to like this audiobook so bad because it’s a femdom romance and the sex scenes were there, but the story kind of turned me off. However, I did not DNF (Did Not Finish) the book, I was able to get through the story thanks to Teddy Hamilton’s voice. The book is about a single mom, Elsie, who is voiced by Daisy Jane herself, which is nice to hear author voicing the character. Elsie, who is the FMC, she lives with her mother and daughter and needs more money to help her mother sickness. Bran, who is the MMC, voiced by Teddy Hamilton, is a man that lost his eye and it hurt his self esteem. Elsie then finds a job as a femdom through a friend and finds Bran’s ad, but it is misinterpreted as something else. Bran and Elsie through a misunderstanding end up being in a sub/dom relationship that both find beneficial. Elsie finds yourself to be more confidant as a woman with everything that is going on in her life. Bran gains more confidence as man and does not let his missing eye define him. Later Bran wants more then just sub/dom relationship, but Elsie is unsure if he can handle her real life problems. I find the story sweet and spicy, but there was too much sweet moments kind of wanted me to DNF the book. But thanks to the spicyness I got back into it. Teddy and Daisy did really good in the narration and it is thanks to them they made the book interesting to hear. This book is not for everyone’s taste, but my suggestion is listen to the audiobook it’s better than reading it. Overall, the story 3/5 and the spicyness is 4/5.

Twisted Lies By Ana Huang Book Review/ Spoiler

This is the final book of the Twisted series and Ana Huang delivers a satisfying ending to all her characters. I had to finish this book in one sit in and my goodness this is my favorite book in the series. It is a stand alone book, but I suggest you read the pervious Twisted books because a lot of cameo occurs throughout the Twisted Lies. Now in this story we follows FMC Stella, who is a fashion influencer and trying to build her fashion line becomes roommates with Christian. Christian the morally gray MMC tech billionaire becomes obsessed with Stella like an unsolved puzzle. He later becomes protective of her, when she is being stalked, having panic attacks and becoming paranoid. In the meantime, Christian also has a spy within his company that is stealing from him. As the story develops so does the relationship between Stella and Christian, which is cute and spicy. However, when Stella finds out that Christian was stalking her before, she breaks up with him as he is begging for forgiveness. The break up is truly heartbreaking moment because he is trying to tell her that he couldn’t take his mind off of her since he saw her. I cried at this scene especially when she still needs his protection and he is still protecting her after the break up. But that is not enough because Stella gets kidnapped by her stalker and Christian has to save her, which he does. They get back together and at the same time Ana Huang wraps up all the other Twisted characters as well. We have them as parents and marriages popping up and it is so adorable. I love how she ties everyone’s ending without losing the story of Christian and Stella, an author knows how to write. Overall the story is 5/5 could not stop reading it and the spiciness is a 4/5, I just love the story more.

Twisted Hate By Ana Huang Book Review/ Spoiler

This is the 3rd book of the Twisted Series, now my advice is to read Twisted Love first before this book. The book is considered stand alone, but I believe that reading Twisted Love gives you a better understanding, when reading Twisted Hate. You will understand better why Josh, who is the MMC the brother of Ava and former best friend of Alex are the reason for Josh’s inner turmoil. Jules, who is the FMC is the best friend of Ava and the reason why Jules and Josh hate each other. The story does revolves around Josh and Jules love and hate relationship, but Alex and Ava do a lot of cameo in this book. Josh is a doctor trying to overcome Alex’s betrayal and trying to cope with the current events in his life. Jules is a law student trying to show everyone that she is more than just a pretty face, but the past tends to haunt Jules and comes after her. During that time, Josh and Jules find some common ground and both become so attracted with each other that they can’t get enough of it. It is be a cliche in some romance novels, but Ana Huang knows how to make it spicy and dramatic. Resulting in Jules being forced to betray Josh by stealing from him to prevent her ex from exposing her past life. Josh finds out from Jules on what she did and they break up. The break up was messed up on Josh’s part and my heart went out to Jules. Alex later helps Josh realize not to throw away something that is good in his life. Jules and Josh later get together, which is cute and both learn how to be in a twisted hate relationship. Overall the story was 4/5 took some time get there and the spiciness 4/5.

Twisted Games By Ana Huang Book Review/Spoiler

2nd book of the Twisted series and its a princess story that has no prince, but a gorgeous knight. This is a standalone book, so if you start the series with this book, you won’t be lost. Ana Huang makes readers fall in love with her characters like Rhys, who is the MMC bodyguard amazing not only at what he does, but what he says too. Bridget, who is the FMC is the princess soon to be queen destine to marry a prince, while trying to maintain her secret relationship with Rhys. Bridget’s inner strength and inner turmoil is something that we can relate to especially when it comes to responsibilities to ourselves and to others. This story reminded me of arrange marriages, especially when my mother was in one, so it holds a place in my heart. The story is Rhys and Bridgett learning to run a country, while also trying to find ways for them to stay together. Bridget is of noble blood, but Rhys is not, or so it seems. Ana Huang knows how to make a better twisted princess story than Disney for sophisticated minds at least. The personality of Rhys is so amazing that he loves Bridget so much that he accepts her decision to break up with him for her family. Bridget later learns to finds a way to stay with the man she loves and that means getting Alex from Twisted Love involved in her plan. They get back together questions are answered and mysteries are solved, Rhys and Bridget know how to shock a country and the reader as well. Overall the story is a 4/5 and the spiciness is 5/5 the throne room scene amazing.

Twisted Love By Ana Huang Book Review/ Spoiler

This is the 1st book of the Twisted series by Ana Huang and gotta say it’s pretty twisted. You have a morally gray MMC Alex, who is grumpy billionaire  with a horrible past that makes you wonder how are you still sane. Maybe that’s just me crazy is always sane for me. Then you have Ava FMC, who is sunshine and carefree personality with missing parts of her memory. I love how Ana Huang gives little clues for the reader to put the pieces together with Alex’s parents death and Ava’s missing memory. It’s so subtle that the mystery does not get taken away from the romance blossoming between Alex and Ava. I mean come on this is a romance novel, we have some spiciness in those chapters that the author never disappoints. When all the pieces are together, you will be in shock and still have questions, which get answered, we don’t get left in the dark. However, when the mystery is solved, Alex and Ava break up that was so sad that made my heartache. And Ana Huang knows that with a break up comes a lesson and the display of that lesson is amazing. Ava to move forward she has to face her fears and Alex to move forward has to be honest with his feelings. The 2 eventually get together, but not without Alex going through some groveling and public displaying his affection towards Ava. Overall the story is 5/5 and spiciness is 5/5 as well. I love those red velvet cookies.

Light Out By Navessa Allen Audio Book Review/ Spoiler

I love the audio book with Jacob Morgan and Elena Wolfe both did an amazing job on this book. I laughed so hard in certain moments and hearing Jacob Morgan’s voice oh my goodness. Elena Wolfe is also another voice that gives her character Aly  a great performance. Jacob Morgan voices Josh, who is a introvert, but is popular in social media because of his mask antics that gained him millions of followers. And one those followers is Aly voiced by Elena Wolfe, who is a ER nurse and enjoys watching his social media because she has a mask kink. Josh hides from the world because of his father’s past and how he is afraid that people may see his father in him. Aly always exposed to chaos at the ER and sees her fair share of gore and doesn’t get fazed by any of it. We even get to see some secrets about Aly, when she needs to call in for help to hide a body. Navessa Allen literally made me fall in love with Josh and Aly, mostly Josh because he may look like badass, but he is a cinnamon roll at heart. The scenes that Jacob Morgan and Elena Wolfe preformed will not be erased from my mind because there are some crazy kinks to knife play. However, if that is not your thing there is a content trigger warning page that lets you know, what your in for. Overall I love the story and the audio book, I was content with the ending 5/5 and the spiciness 5/5 as well can’t have fun without some trigger warnings.

The Striker By Ana Huang Review/ Spoiler

This is Ana Huang’s first sports romance and the 1st book to start her new series Gods of the Game. And she does not disappoint, she brings us the Asher Donovan and new characters that we can all fall in love with. We follow MMC Asher and FMC Scarlet in this book, where forbidden love begin to blossom between them. Scarlet is a former ballerina with a past that halted her career and the sister of Asher’s rival, Vincent. Asher a famous soccer player trying to find some common ground in his new team especially, when his rivalry with Vincent is costing them matches. This is were the plot unfolds, his coach is tired of the rivalry shit and sends both to train with Scarlet. However, an Scarlet and Vincent’s father get into an accident and causes Vincent to go and check on him leaving Asher and Scarlet alone. They slowly become an item and begin to sneak around Vincent and the paparazzi. I always love how Ana Huang adds humor and even knows how to do some character cameos from her previous books. But in like all good things there is always something that ruins it, which is Asher’s addiction to racing and promising Scarlet that he won’t do it again and to break that promise. Scarlet not willingly to watch Asher endanger himself can’t bare to see him get hurt just to satisfy his ego. And this is why Ana Huang knows how to beautifully make simple real life problems relatable to us readers. The Striker teaches us not to be a controlled by our ego, and that we can all change. It can be for the sake of someone else or for ourselves meaning change can only be accomplished through action. And for Asher to win back Scarlet actions speak louder than words. Overall the story 5/5 and the spiciness 4/5 it is there and it makes the story that good.

King of Sloth By Ana Huang Review/Spoiler

The 4th book of the King of Sin series, King of Sloth, and it is this book that got me hooked on Ana Huang’s books. Ana Huang really knows how to please her readers with all her stand alone books. This story is about not giving up even when the odds are stacked against you and some risks are worth taking in life even a heartbreak. We follow our FMC Sloane, who was mention in the previous book, and our MMC Xavier, who was also mention as well, both completely opposites from one another. That’s what I love about this author she knows how to tie in everyone without disturbing the story. This is a romance story of opposites attracts, like King of Pride, but with a grumpy FMC and a sunshine MMC. Sloane is all business woman that has no time for emotions, and Xavier a carefree man living only enjoying partying. I love how the author displays characters that the reader can relate,  like Sloane, who is strong in public, but in private she is still going through somethings. Xavier is another character that we can relate as well, who is afraid to start something and fail, but failing is part of business and in life. When pressure runs high Xavier yells at Sloane causing her to break up to avoid a heartbreak in the future. As a result, Xavier begins to groveling at Sloane for forgiveness and Sloane wonders it would be wise to take a risk on Xavier or not.  The King of Sloth has some comical relief and the spiciness is there in a lot of chapters, the author does not disappoint. There is a little something for everyone’s enjoyment even a couple of cameos from our favorite characters. Overall of the story 5/5 and spiciness 5/5 as well.

King of Greed By Ana Huang Review/ Spoiler

Ana Huang does it again with the 3rd book of the King of Sin series, King of Greed is an emotional roller coaster and about second chances. There is a groveling, spiciness, and heartache as you follow the characters story, Dominic, who is the MMC, and Alessandra, who is the FMC. Dominic and Alessandra are mentioned in previous books as a married couple, but the marriage is slowly beginning to die out as Alessandra points out to the reader. She tells the reader how Dominic is a workaholic and whatever, he has or was able to make is not enough for him. The reader is taken back to the past on how Dominic and Alessandra were before they were wealthy and how they meant. I love how the author makes such a subtle from past and present and we see how things have changed through the years. They do end up getting a divorce, but Dominic doesn’t go down without a fight because he ends up following Alessandra for a second chance. Alessandra trying to understand, who she is, what else is there for her, and she wants a second chance with Dominic, but without risking her heart being broken again. This is one of the stories that many married couples can relate, we either get lost with our work wanting more or we lose ourselves as a person. And what Dominic and Alessandra teaches us that there can be a balance between all that, and that’s why I love Ana Huang so much there is a deep message in all her stories and this one is the most beautiful message she gave us all. Overall, story 5/5 and the spiciness is a 5/5 as well, 1 scene will have you oh my goodness, where can I find a Dominic.

King of Pride By Ana Huang Review/ Spoiler

The 2nd book of the King of Sin Series is another stand alone book by Ana Huang and she really knows how to make a billionaire romance story. I enjoyed reading this book, despite the mix reviews, it really was a cute and spicy opposites attract story. In this book we follow Kai and Isabella, who were mention in the King of Wrath book. Kai a well groomed perfectionist and never loses at anything falls for Isabella, who is carefree and doesn’t always get what she wants.  Isabella is a bartender and trying to be a writer, but ends up with writer’s block, then one day Kai finds her playing the piano and he is hooked on her. Kai becomes intrigued by her carefree attitude to the point where fate keeps pushing them together. Kai learns to loosen up in life and Isabella learns to think positive about herself that she can be a writer. They both begin to develop feelings for each other, but unfortunately their life styles and social network are too different. As a result, this causes them to break up and in end they both have to just listen to their hearts and not everyone else around them. You can actually relate to this love story in real life because part of being attracted to the opposite person is facing the disapprovals of some people. Ana Huang does an amazing job in pointing out that opposites attraction is great, but it’s the people around you that can make it difficult. It may not be interesting for some readers, but it grabbed my attention well and the spiciness was there Ana Huang never fails on that part. Overall, story 4/5 and the spiciness is a 5/5 the feather scene did it for me.

King of Wrath By Ana Huang Review/Spoiler

This is the first book of the King of Sins series and all books stand alone, which is good because you don’t need to read the first to understand the second. Now this book had a morally gray MMC, which Dante, and a beautiful and respectable FMC, which is Vivian. I absolutely  loved it the story, romance, the enemies to lovers was on point. Dante a well known billionaire forced to marry Vivian, whose father is blackmailing Dante. Vivian of course does not know anything about what is going on between Dante and her father, and she does not like the idea of getting married to Dante. I love how the book shows both main characters point of view of Dante and Vivian, Dante was born into money, but his freedom had to be restricted growing up. Vivian not born into money, but became rich as her father’s business bloomed, which caused her family to act different in order to be considered part of the high society. As the reader, we see that Dante is trying to keep Vivian at arms length and keeps her out of social events, but Vivian is her own woman and she will do as she pleases. Throughout the book we see the relationship blossom between them and despite the blackmail Dante falls for her first. However, the truth comes out and Dante and Vivian broke up, which it did make me sad. Later we see Dante trying to get Vivian back and trying to convince her to trust him again with her heart. The groveling is amazing in one scene, one could wish to have a Dante in there lives. There is a lot of that spiciness, so you will not be bored with it and it will pull heart strings and making you feeling everything. It is very easy to follow the story and the focus remains one point as the FMC and MMC relationship develops.  Overall story 5/5 and the spiciness 5/5, you will be satisfied.

Does it Hurt? By H. D. Carlton Review/ Spoiler

H.D. Carlton really knows how to write a dark romance and leave the reader content and wanting more, but content at the same time. Reading this had me like wait what’s going on here in a good way, I did love reading this book. There is nothing but spiciness throughout the book and we have so many scenes that makes your eyes widen. When Sawyer, the FMC, and Enzo, the MMC, hate each other because Sawyer stole Enzo’s identity and confronts her on a boat that gets caught in a storm. They both get stuck on an island with nothing better to do other than have sex all the time. But the island belongs to an old man Sylvester, who is much more than meets the eye. Mystery clouds the island, so much that it begins to brings Sawyer and Enzo together. Nothing brings people together than a good mystery, especially  when your life depends on it. H.D. Carlton knows how to combine mystery and romance all in one without even losing sight of the plot. The ending does not disappoint and you will be hooked till the end because its that addicting.  You will have moments “I did not see that coming”. I did create a connection to these characters and cared about what happens to them at the end and it really was satisfying. Overall 5/5 and spiciness 5/5, H.D. Carlton you have done it again amazing.

Man of Action by Ellie Rivers Review/ Spoiler

This book is a breath of fresh air romance novel that has low intimate moments, but the story will have you hooked. The author by Elle Rivers can be read as a stand alone book from her trilogy The Family Business series, Man of Action is book 2 and follows the relationship between Selena and Tom. This book is written in 1st person point of view,  it’s basically 2 college students having a one night stand, which resulted in a pregnancy after 12 years later both Selena and Tom moved on with their lives. Selena, who tried to reach out to Tom after finding out she was pregnant, but Tom rejected her and the baby or so we are meant to believe. Selena is struggling with her son Max on expenses, and Tom is a billionaire thanks to his family’s company, but there are some family drama roaming around. Tom had reported his father on harassment  claims causing his father to leave the company by force and Tom leading the company temporary. Selena struggling to take care of Max, who is the son of Tom and Selena, she does freelance work in making book covers, which is not enough at times. One day, Tom and Selena ran into each other and Tom is surprised to see Selena, the woman that haunts his dreams and his son, who looks exactly like him. Tom then tries to come back to Selena’s life and also be in Max’s life as well. Selena gives him a chance despite her feeling uneasy because she does not want their son to get hurt. And this is were the drama begins to unfold Tom is struggling in becoming sober and be the perfect man for Selena and the perfect father for Max. Despite having very little spicy moments the story does keep you engaged enough to keep reading. I loved it and thought it was a lovely romance novel that I finished in 2 days. Elle Rivers really does know how to make a lover story without constantly making the characters take their clothes off to have a good time.

The Glass Girl By Kathleen Glasgow Review/ Spoiler

The book is a big breath of fresh air for the soul of all ages. It really takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and the mind of Bella, who we follow through her addiction with alcohol. We follow her at school and meet her friends some are drinking buddies and her 1 true friend Amber is just there to watch over them. Bella explains how her shitty life got to where it is and at the same time trying to fulfill her responsibilities at home, school, and being an adult. You follow her sneaking around the alcohol behind the people that want her to stop. She goes to a party and begins to lose it drinks. She no longer controls herself anymore and to the point where a video is recorded of her. Left on the doorstep of her mother she falls and busts her face, when she wake up she is in hospital. Bella’s parents send her to rehab and we follow her journey to the point that many counselors were former addicts and are trying to help the teens with their addictions. We see Bella getting use to rehab making friends and who are real friends. When she returns home it all seems foreign trying to get use to her former environment. It is at this point that she realizes that she will need to change her environment and let people become aware what she is trying to accomplish, which is living with the addiction and learning to control it. The book has a open-ending, but it is relatable to life. Sometimes we learn to live with the monsters inside us and in that journey we learn how to live the way we want and control what we want.

Preferential Treatment By Heather Guerre Review/ Spoiler

A book filled with a lot of spicy and intense scenes, written in 3rd person, Heather Guerre does not beat around the bush, she just dives right into it. Every chapter I read was intense and the chemistry that Kate, FMC, and Mikhail, MMC, happened slowly through friends and benefits. Mikhail, who is Russian orphan that became a billionaire with his tech company, and he meets Kate, who is struggling to get out of poverty and working at his company as a simple salas associate. When Kate was on a call and someone tries to take her stapler from her desk, she smacks the hand of that person, who happened to be the CEO Mikhail. Later Mikhail calls Kate to his office to offer a proposal that can get her out of poverty. Mikhail wanted a woman to control him and basically own him, and this peeks Kate’s interest and the money too. Kate agrees to the proposal, she begins acting like a femdom and giving Mikhail the treatment that he requested. The author tells us how Mikhail and Kate were growing up and that some habits stuck with them till they were adults. Kate grew up in poverty, which resulted her having lice and shaving her hair as a child. She later developed the habit of stroking her hair none stop. Mikhail grew up in a orphanage in Russia and had little food to go around. Resulting him to create the habit of hiding food in the drawer because it just makes him feel safe, even as a billionaire tech company. The relationship that these 2 have is blossoms through time and gets a little hairy, when she wants more and he does not know how to give it. I couldn’t stop reading the book because each chapter became spicy, overall it did leave me on the edge of my seat hoping these 2 can sort out their differences and get together. Sweet, Spicy, and leaving the reader content overall a 4/5 book.
